O.T.WEST provides home based rehabilitation, environmental assessments and modifications to help keep people safe and as independent as possible in their home. Our Therapists will visit clients in their home. If the client is in hospital, a home assessment can be done prior to discharge.
Our home visiting services include advice on:
- Home modifications, including handrails, ramps at steps, stair lifts
- Home safety to prevent falls
- Adaptive equipment
- Wheelchairs and scooters
- Pressure care, seating and ergonomics
Our home visiting service can include:
- Dementia management and cognitive rehabilitation
- Upper limb rehabilitation
- Back care education
- Chronic pain management advice
- Arthritis management
- Energy conservation and work simplification
- Manual handling education to reduce risk of carer injury
- Recreational activities advice
O.T.WEST provides the home visiting service for SJOG Hospital Subiaco and sees patients from Hollywood Private Hospital. We are also registered to provide home assessment services to a wide range of clients (refer to Funding page).
